The 91-year-old woman Madam Wong was suffering from heart failure and cataracts, and her life before she retired at the age of 70 was not happy. Accidentally Madam Wong was invited to join a choir to kill her spare time. She derived great satisfaction from the time being with her singing companions and kept this habit for 20 years. Unfortunately, the pandemic has stopped Madam Wong from gathering with her singing partners in the past two years, making her feel extremely depressed.
Her wish was to spend time singing with her friends once again.
Volunteers of Brothers And Sisters In Christ Foundation learned about Madam Wong’s situation through the referral of the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society. They instantly coordinated a mini concert for her and invited about 30 people to join, including three of her children who currently stay in Hong Kong. Our thanks go to the Hong Kong Club Foundation for making Madam Wong’s wish come true.
